| The
Federation of Youth Services has a rich history on the
eastside
of Detroit for providing services to at risk youth and their
families
for well over seventy plus years. Our track record has proven
that
we are committed to servicing youth and their families. We
sincerely
believe that each youth is worthy of being successful, but may
need
the assistance and help from sources outside of their home
environment.
Our goal at the Federation is a simple one - enhance the lives of each child we serve. Our Mission Statement reflects our goal, which states, "Federation of Youth Services is a non-profit child welfare agency that provides innovative and quality comprehensive services to residential, community-based homeless children and families in the Metropolitan Detroit Area." We believe that in order to achieve our mission, we must empower the youth we serve to help them meet the challenges they will encounter in their future. Our Vision Statement is: We envision that the Federation of Youth Services will achieve the goal of tripling our community-based services within the next five years, and have an agency budget of at least five million dollars by 2010. The Federation of Youth Services is funded by United Way for Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM), City of Detroit Neighborhood Opportunity Fund (NOF), State of Michigan Family Independence Agency (FIA), Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Case Management Organizations (CMO) and Allstate Insurance Company. We are an accredited agency by Council on Accreditation. |
